Description :

Overall :

  • Identify and build strong relationships with appropriate potential and existing customers.
  • Personally be knowledgeable all aspects of company products and services.
  • Through a committed approach towards delivering first class innovative sales performance, achieve personal targets for new business sales and customer retention.
  • Work closely with UK Management and Operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of new business wins
  • The ultimate objective being to fully surpass customer expectations across all levels resulting in excellent key customer retention and business development opportunities.

Duties:

  • Identify and develop personal prospect pipeline to achieve activity and financial targets
  • Work with agreed retained customers to ensure customer long term customer retention.
  • Work with agreed retained customers to identify and scope additional business opportunities and ensure revenue maximization.
  • Ensure appropriate involvement of IJS team to breakdown complex business scenarios and customer information to develop innovative solutions and proposals.
  • To validate customer requirements by producing comprehensive project overviews and assess requirements against defined quality criteria and current service capabilities.
  • To work with key customers and delivery teams to develop optimum solutions to defined requirements that add value to the current relationship, improve margin returns and ensure client retention.
  • To work with operational units and executive team to prepare, present and lead agreed retained customer business reviews by providing insightful and quantifiable data against set criteria and agreed KPI’s.
  • To work with the operational units to ensure full compliance with stated key customer requirements and agreed standard operating procedures.
  • To identify and scope vertical market initiatives through current key customer relationships.
  • To identify and communicate relevant market and competitor information.

Skills/Requirements :

  • A proven track record in successfully working to and exceeding sales targets
  • Evidence of identifying and winning new customers
  • Communicating with clients and other stakeholders at all levels
  • Previous Experience: Minimum 3 years in a Business Development Role-Freight Forwarding
  • Professional, self motivated, conscientious, confident
  • Effective time management
  • Able to plan and organise own workload
  • Well rounded interpersonal skills

Package:

  • Salary Range: £35,000 – 45,000.00 p/a
