Leading intralogistics show reports strong demand.
With just under two years remaining until it opens its doors, over half of the available floor space at 2019’s International Materials Handling Exhibition (IMHX 2019 – (www.imhx.net) has been allocated.
“Approximately 18,000 square metres of the 35,000 square metres of floor space has now been allocated,” says exhibition director, Rob Fisher.
“This compares very favourably with previous events and reflects the great confidence exhibitors have in this well established and consistently popular show.
He continues: “Feedback about IMHX 2019 from numerous companies has been overwhelming and, with the logistics sector booming and set for sustained growth, everyone connected with the show is looking forward to a hugely successful event.
The logistics sector is experiencing growth driven by internet retail as well as the engineering and manufacturing sectors, it is worth approximately £55bn to the UK’s economy.
“Because intralogistics technology is evolving all the time, IMHX 2019 will have a greater emphasis on the automated, robotics and artificial intelligence solutions that are shaping the way successful modern supply chains operate,” adds Rob Fisher.
A tri-annual event, IMHX is the largest and longest running exhibition in the UK for the logistics and supply chain industries.
Held within four halls of the NEC, Birmingham, during September 2019, IMHX 2019 will showcase the products and services offered by over 400 companies, and is expected to attract more than 16,000 visitors.
Some of the most influential suppliers of supply chain and intralogistics solutions – including Toyota Material Handling, Crown Lift Trucks, Doosan, SSI Schaefer, WRH Global and Knapp – are among the confirmed exhibitors at IMHX 2019.
Jon Buckley, commercial director of Toyota Material Handling UK, commented: “IMHX 2019 offers my company a perfect platform to present its products to customers from a broad range of industry sectors. The show has always been a key part of our marketing activity. Being the world’s number one MHE company it is right that Toyota continues to be a main participant at IMHX.”
Paul Watson, sales director of Doosan, said: “Having enjoyed a highly rewarding IMHX 2016, we’re really looking forward to welcoming the logistics business community to our stand at IMHX 2019. The event continues to grow and we’re delighted to be part of it.”
SSI’s business development and marketing manager, Mike Alibone, added: “IMHX has always been an integral part of our sales and marketing strategy, providing crucial opportunities to develop new and existing customer relationships. We see IMHX as a wonderful opportunity to market our brand, showcase products, network with fellow industry partners and interact with customers or prospective clients directly.”
IMHX is co-owned by Informa Exhibitions and BITA (the British Industrial Truck Association).
