RAWview, a UK-based industrial automation specialist, and MetraLabs, a Germany-based manufacturer of industrial mobile service robots, have announced a new collaboration to bring two cutting-edge robots to customers in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
MetraLabs has spent more than 20 years developing mobile service robots, including the world’s first interactive shopping robot in 2007. Since then, their innovations have won numerous awards and have been used in hundreds of locations worldwide.
Meanwhile, RAWview has established itself as a leading integrator of fully autonomous and highly automated systems, ranging from autonomous mobile robots to commercial drone technology.
This agreement designates RAWview as the appointed distributor for the TORY and CARY platforms in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
TORY – an autonomous inventory control robot, ensures accurate stock control and optimised placement of goods in various retail settings. TORY is available in two variants: TORY Shelf, which conducts image-based identification and analysis of goods and their correct placement on shelves, and TORY RFID, which reads and stores the presence of RFID-tagged articles. This provides greater inventory visibility, improved product availability, and optimised ordering processes.
CARY – an autonomous transport service robot, enables automated and safe material and goods flow throughout various manufacturing settings. Its compact and intuitive design allows for fast operation even in complex environments. Whether consumption-controlled or cyclical, CARY is the ideal solution to deliver parts to the production line, at the right time.
Following the announcement, RAWview’s Product Integration Director, Joe Waldron, said:
“I am delighted to announce this new partnership with MetraLabs. It marks a significant milestone in RAWview’s journey and aligns perfectly with our mission to make automation technologies more accessible to organisations that can benefit from their implementation. Our goal has always been to help businesses implement safer, smarter, and more sustainable working methods in their day-to-day operations, and this collaboration takes us another step closer to delivering just that. We look forward to the journey ahead and the incredible possibilities it holds for our current and future customers.”
Co-founder and Managing Director of MetraLabs, Dr Andreas Bley, added:
“We look forward to collaborating with RAWview as a competent solution provider for intralogistics. It is enriching for us to work alongside experts in the field of implementing automation solutions in companies and RAWview possesses the necessary expertise and experience to develop customised solutions for specific customer requirements and to implement them in partnership with us. We are confident that this collaboration can assist companies in automating and optimising their internal processes.”
