SNAPFULFIL POWERS WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS FOR SUZUKI GB.
Suzuki GB PLC has successfully implemented the Snapfulfil Cloud WMS to support the efficient warehousing and distribution of motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and marine engines.
Based in Milton Keynes, Suzuki GB PLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, importing product from manufacturing facilities all over the world. The company’s 50,000 sq ft warehouse stores and distributes both finished goods and aftermarket parts to dealers throughout the UK and Ireland.
Until recently, Suzuki was using a warehouse management system provided by its former logistics partner, however, Suzuki took the strategic decision to implement their own system which was independent of any third-party relationships.
Following a thorough review of the market, Suzuki selected Snapfulfil due to its proven best-of-breed functionality and flexibility to meet its specific requirements, both now and as the business needs change.
Suzuki is currently using Snapfulfil to manage the receiving, inspection, put-away, storage, picking and despatch of finished goods, along with the management of dealer returns. Every item is a unique SKU and is tracked based on Vehicle Identification Number and model/colour.
The WMS is fully integrated with Suzuki’s own global IT systems, providing a complete picture of inventory and orders. Following Suzuki’s appointment of Bibby Distribution to handle its delivery operations, Snapfulfil is also integrating to Bibby’s own load planning and transport management systems.
Suzuki GB’s Logistics and Sales Operations Manager, Kevin Sach said: “Snapfulfil inspired confidence from our first engagement and this has been borne out in the design and delivery of the solution. The system gives us everything we need to operate efficiently and deliver excellent service to our dealers.”
