UK DISTRIBUTION OPERATION BENEFITS FROM NEW APPROACH TO WAREHOUSE IMPACT PROTECTION AND SAFETY
Improved levels of industrial workplace safety and impact protection will be provided at a major warehouse and distribution hub in the Midlands thanks to a new package of bespoke safety equipment from Brandsafe.
The move has seen the impact protection specialist design and supply a comprehensive range of safety and protection products and integrated systems to a major provider of prepared meals at its 230,000 sq. ft. distribution centre.
In a collaborative approach to project management and delivery, Brandsafe has been working in close co-operation with the customer’s in-house team to deliver modular designed industrial safety solutions. This will improve access and ease of movement for warehouse operatives and manual-handling equipment such as loaded pallet trucks.
This installation includes dozens of highly impact resistant goalposts to protect external load doors and bays from impact damage along with ImpactSAFE bollard bases for increased strength protection. Vulnerable equipment and doorways at the site are also protected thanks to a number of Polymer sleeved protection posts for added impact resistance and visibility, while Armco safety barriers have been added to protect caging from accidental and costly forklift truck collisions and impact damage.
Products have been manufactured by Brandsafe to meet the client’s exacting standards and also incorporate a range of safety cages designed to protect electrical panels and IT systems among other vulnerable systems and parts in a demanding industrial environment.
The work is the latest high profile success contributing to Brandsafe’s rapidly growing position as a leading provider of industrial workplace safety solutions for major warehouses, distribution centres and logistics hubs.
Paul Roehricht, UK strategic account manager, said: “Through careful system design, planning and installation, we have improved all round site safety and protection of the customer’s workforce and its UK distribution operations.
“It also vindicates our continued investment in building our resources, capabilities and expertise to ensure we can deliver time critical, complex and high-profile contracts using the very latest high-performance products.”
